Banyu Anget Tirto Husodo (Hot Spring)

This Hot spring is located in Karangrejo village, Subdistrict of Arjosari, Pacitan city. It is about 15 Km to north from Alon Alon pacitan. The view there is nice, surrounded by hill side with the greenish plants on it. This hot spring is one of the favorite destination place for traveler in form of swimming pool.

Banyu Anget Tirto Husodo, originally means Hot Spring Water For Health. Peoples believe that bathing there can give health to the body and cure skin disease. This water actually contain a calcium and sulfur with low intensity. That is why you will not smell the sulfur scent like another hot spring. The water is clear and does not sticky in your body. "As long as i know, there are so many people which regain their health from rheumatism, uric acid, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and stroke." said the man that has his profession as guide therapy here.

There are 2 pool for adult, 1 pool for children, 10 bath room with hot (rather warm) water and 2 villa with hot spring and normal water facility. If you want to remain in the pool, you better fill your stomach first, because there are some case that some people feel queasy and even faint because of their empty stomach. 

The entrance ticket is Rp. 4.000 for each person. This Hot spring is open for 24 Hour. That is for Banyu Anget "Tirto Husodo", See you next time. Bye.

Mercusuar (East Pancer) 2006

Mercusuar

Mercusuar is located on the very east of Teleng ria beach. This time, that mercusuar is passed by “Jalun Lintas Selatan” (South line road) which is still under construction while I write this post. This article is about mercusuar in 2006 with me and my friends.

Four people, there were me, riki, faris, and chinshop. We were friend in some extra curricular in senior high school which determined our guts to explore Mercusuar. That time, it was so scary to go there, since so many people said that the location was very dangerous, so many ghosts, so many monkeys, etc. We were young anyway, so it did not matter for us.

We started our adventure on Saturday afternoon, about 4pm using motorcycle through sirnoboyo village and stopped in “Tempat Pelelangan Ikan” (Fish auction Place), very east Teleng Ria Beach. We parked our motorcycle there, then continued walked through the forest and cliff above the shore following the fisherman path. It looked difficult to pass, the contour, the ravine (we walked on the ground path with the hill on our left side and 10 meters sharp corals waiting bellow us on the right side), we needed to be careful.

About 25 Minutes had passed. We were about half of our journey. Aha, I forgot to mention that we brought a map, compass, protactor, and altimeter (they were the tools for navigation) with us, we knew a little bit how to use that tools. That was why, we knew that we went in the right track. We arrived at Delon bay. It was so small. There were a hut for us to take a rest. That place apparently was used by the fisherman to dock their traditional canoe (small boat). The view was so beautiful there.

Actually, we don’t have enough time because the day was getting darker. It was so dangerous to walk there in darkness, so we walked faster. After a while, we passed somewhere like forest and we saw monkey there. Monkey was scary, but it was not about that, it was time which getting darker slowly. We walked faster and faster. And finally we arrived there about 5.30 pm. We were glad that we arrived safely.

We didn’t bring any proper tent, so we made an emergency tent by using rain robe. After that we took our food and drink. We did not forget to take a picture. We slept under sky with the stars as our lantern. So beautiful. That time we saw, just once, that the house lamp was lit up, yes, just once. Light rain sometimes pouring us, and driving us to our emergency tent.

We took more picture in the morning, explored that place, then met with a fisherman that gave us a big shrimp. We mixed it with instant noodle for our breakfast. After we satisfied, we walk home using different path. That time was raining heavily. It make us could not open our map (we were afraid that map will be broken), then the result is we walk around and around and make the distance is much longer that it had to be (strayed).

This was my experience with my friend. Hope that you all still remember that time. See you in my next post.

Bumi Perkemahan Pancer Door (East Pancer)

Teleng ria beach is divided in two area ; west pancer and east pacer. West pancer is managed by PT.El john, it makes the entrance ticket is rather expensive but it sure have a lot of facility. Many Traveler have their holiday there. On the other hand, East Pancer is managed by the local government, it makes the entrance ticket is much cheaper, but absolutely, with less facility.

East Pancer, from the entrance, you will find a road that lead you to the east. First you will find a park. Some people do jogging by the asphalt road that lead to east, then go back to the park to take a rest. Following the asphalt and turn right (to south), you will find another park, and also place to play skate board, volley ball, and shelters to enjoy the panorama. Some snack seller will also be there to prevent your stomach hungry. There is also a good place to playing with water and sand.

From the second park, you can go straight further to east, it is trail road (with no asphalt) although car is still possible to pass there. You will find many buffalo there because that is a favorite place for peoples to herd their buffalo. After 300 M, you will find the last destination, it is a river mouth.  It is a good place to fishing, surfing, or just walking and playing with water. Many tourist go there in the morning and afternoon to surf. Some time, people organize rowing boat contest there.

Swimming is not advised there, although you may good at swimming. That place is rather dangerous because its underwater current is very strong, not only that, people also believe that it is due for spiritual reason that some people sink there. SO, for your own shake, do not swim there.

That is for today, ah, by the way, if you really-really-really want to swim, you can go to Teleng ria Water boom (in West Pancer) or Jaten Swimming pool. Bye.

Pasar Minulyo (Traditional Market)

Pasar Minulyo is located in Baleharjo Subdistrict, Pacitan. Pasar Minulyo is managed by the region government. You can find this place about 1 km from Alon Alon Pacitan to the south, before Pacitan's Bus Station. Pasar Minulyo is used for central traditional market in pacitan. Many reseller and buyer are gather in this place. Sometime, Tourist prefer to buy their food ingredients here.

The most lively activity happen at the very morning, where the seller dropped their fresh vegetables, fruits and fishes, that is the real traditional market. At this time, the price is still rather cheaper and the most of goods are still fresh, if you have time, it is the best choice to shopping there.

Still, there will be many people on the noon. Though, the vegetables and fruits are not so fresh anymore. But, this time, another seller will also open their stall, shoes stall, snack stall, clothes stall, toys stall and many other things. You can also easily find your side dish, your break fast, or your lunch there, in so many variety.

The afternoon scenery will be little quiet, since most of the vegetables seller is already closed, the traditional market became rather quiet. But, the stalls is still open, shoes, clothes, snacks, and especially food stalls.

The evening phenomenon will be much different. This traditional market changes into garden hall for peoples. There will be many plaything for kids, like mini train, balls pool and big remote car. There are also many culinary that can not be found in daylight in this traditional market, like ; Meats ball, noodle, roasted meat, fried rice, ketupat tahu, cemue, dawet, and many other things. That is why this Pasar Minulyo can be a good choice for family recreation.

In some occasion, This place is also used for festival day celebration like wayang kulit (leather puppet) or kids festival stage. Find your time to come here at least once. One more, if you want to buy something in this place at morning until noon, you better do a bargain to get the cheapest price. It is traditional market, isn't?

West Pancer (Pathok Koang)

Pathok Koang is the most west part of Teleng Ria Beach. It is a dead end. You can find this place after Pacitan Harbour. It is about 1 km from there, or 4km from the Alon Alon Pacitan. The road there is not big. However, cars should be able to reach that place. The last time i went there, the road is in a bad condition, i assumed that motor cycle would be the best choice to get there.

For me, it is the most beautiful place in Teleng Ria Beach. The scenery feels so natural, with so many trees, and some chirping bird voice. It is a rather-high-place from beach, You can see almost a whole teleng ria beach from there. Lately, because unwell care of that area, many youngster used that place to date. You can imagine dating in a quiet place like that. ^^

If you want to look closer, you may climb the rock and coral down, you can be right at the shore, to feel the wave, the sound of wave crushing coral, it is like some adventure thing.

A small red light house stand steady in pathok Koang, it is make the scenery more awesome. The sun set there is also hard to be left, even tough you will not able to see the sun itself because of the hill right on the west side of pathok koang, but the orange color that spread into sea water is still a beautiful one.

There are also a new place right before pathok koang that is still on the developing process. It is a spreading area of Pacitan Harbour. Even though that area is still in construction of Harbour, peoples often used that area as a good spot for fishing.

West Pancer (Pacitan Harbour)

It is located at the west side of Teleng Ria Beach, you can go there by foot from Teleng ria beach using very small bridge or else using the main road across the big bridge near sector police station.

Pacitan Harbour is not so big, but it has beautiful scenery. There are no Big Ship, just some small boat, and you can find many traditional fisherman. If your hobby is fishing, then you are in the right place. You can also buy a fresh fish there, because Pacitan Harbour is also known as Fish Auction Place. There are also a gas station that was build for boats, but it also serve car and motorcycle.

In your way here using main road, after you cross the big bridge, you will find a three junction about 1 Km from that bridge. You need to turn left if you want to go to Pacitan Harbour. Here it is, there are some place that serve "Nasi Tiwul" around that Junction. Nasi Tiwul is a delicious food that you can only find in that area. I recommended you to stop there and try it. Each of that Sego Tiwul stall has its unique view of teleng ria beach.  My favorite stall is the blue one, Bu Tarmi Stall. You will find it right after the three junction. My second favorite is the stall after the blue one, near the small mosque.

Alon Alon Pacitan

Every city has its own central place called Alon Alon. This is the mark of 0 (zero) km in Pacitan. When tourists want to ask about some location, alon-alon is the best spot to make the first direction. For example, if people ask you how to go to Teleng Ria Beach, then you can easily answer, from alon-alon, you go to the east until finding traffic light, then turn right about 3 km, then you can turn left at the front of sector police station.

Many important Office also located near by alon alon. From there, you may go West, and find the Big Mosque and Resort Police Station. Going to East, you will find department stores and Bank. Going North, You will find the central of Government Office. Going to South, you will find Gazeebo, Junior Highs School and Elementary school. There are also some Hotel around Alon alon Pacitan, like Prasasti Hotel, Pacitan Hotel, and Alloro Guest House.

Alon alon Pacitan is divided into two main area. East alon alon used for garden city, and west alon alon is used as sport field. East alon alon consist with modified plants, grass, fountain water and a lot of statue in animal and logs form. A foot steps made in harmony with the garden, you can easily find a small pebbles that planted in that foot step in order to massage your feet if you walk on it without sandals. It is made for health purpose. There are also a general toilet that can be used anytime. West alon alon originally used for soccer field. You can also find volley and basketball field in alon alon. There are also a tribune that is used for some simple performance by some peoples, like magic, music, or drama performance. You can also find a drink and fast food stall around the West side of alon alon.

Alon alon pacitan in the very morning is a little bit different. You will find some peoples jogging around alon alon. Along the sun being higer, the road around alon alon will be crowded by traffic, working people and students. A little more higer the sun, Students usually use alon alon as a place to practice their Physical Education Lesson. Some of Sivil servant also use that alon alon for exercise. Afternoon, will be time for preparation from seller to open their stalls.

Night is the best time in alon alon pacitan. The beauty of colorful light make peoples want to stay as long as possible there. Fast food stall will be still open on the West. The difference is on the East, you will find many stalls line there, they sell unique food, there are Jadah bakar, Tahu Bakar, Jagung Bakar and Sate Tahu. That place is a favorite place for many peoples, the price is also cheap. Usually, this unique stall will open until morning. If you have girl friend, night alon alon can be a romantic place to visit. If you are lucky, some time you can watch some stage performance there. The smooth footstep in front of Government office can be use to play skate board and roller skate. Some peoples also choose to play basketball on the night time.

Every Sunday from 04.00 s/d 09.30, The goverment held a "Car free day" festival, it means all motorcycle and car is prohibited to pass alon alon area. That area is only used for non motor vehicle. The activity there are elder exercise, jogging, cycling, playing, or some activity that held particular for that day, like stage band, song, or some quiz.

In some occasion of Holiday or anniversary, alon alon often used for Performance with big stage, and also there will be so many seller and make alon alon crowded. Some time, if some very important people came to pacitan using helicopter, they might landed in alon alon.
